Narrative

An employee was cutting trees and brush on a logging site when a tree branch (4" diameter and 10-12 feet long) fell on him. He sustained a head injury, facial trauma, fractures, blood clots and bleeding on the right side of his head. He also sustained a laceration near his temporal area and his right eye was swollen and bruised. The employee was hospitalized and required surgery.
