An employee was using a knife to separate plastic parts, holding the knife in his left hand. The knife sprung up toward his face and cut his right cheek, below the safety glasses he was wearing. The employee was hospitalized with lacerations to his right cheek and right eye; the laceration to his right eye required surgery.
