Narrative

On March 20, 2025, an employee was watching the acoustic backing section of a line. He noticed that there was a trim from the acoustic layer wrapped around the first pressure roll section on the non-operator side. He went to remove the trim and his leather glove got caught in the nip point. His index fingertip was amputated at the fingernail. The machine was running and a guard was in place at the time.
