Narrative

An employee was replacing nylon guides inside the dry sorter bay. He was holding onto the hoist cable for support as he entered the sorter bay when the lumber racks in the bay slowly went down, causing his left hand and fingers to become caught between the hoist cable and pulley. The employee sustained fractures to his middle, ring, and little fingers and an amputation to the ring fingertip.
