Narrative

An employee was helping assemble a reciprocating process gas compressor. During the installation of the piston and rod assembly, his gloved left index fingertip was pinched between the piston and the cylinder liner. A piece of flesh at his fingertip was crushed and amputated, remaining in the glove.
